SPORT ATV

vmpurchaseroad

If you chase pure fun and want to feel the pedigree of Yamaha's competition heritage, you'll find the perfect ATV in the Sports range. Discover lightweight frames - that offer the strength and rigidity needed for serious off-roading - and ergonomic designs that keep your body comfortable and your mind on what lies ahead.

Long-travel adjustable suspension

With long-travel suspension, tyres maintain longer and more consistent ground contact - even on uneven terrain. With independent front suspension, the movement of each front wheel is not affected by the other. This improves handling by allowing the ATV to track bumpy terrain more accurately and remain in a level, controlled posture.

Finely balanced rims and callipers

Lightweight rims and brake callipers contribute to a low unsprung weight. Twin piston front brake callipers ensure tremendous stopping power and rider feedback.

Ergonomic design

Piloting an ATV brings an unusual combination of muscles into play. Yamaha ATVs are designed to be straightforward to use and comfortable to manoeuvre for the widest possible range of body shapes and sizes. Yamaha engines are based on an intensive research and development programme and are the result of our commitment to engineering excellence. Offering everything from big-torque, 4-stroke power to the excitement of raw, 2-stroke acceleration, these are ATVs to leave the competition standing.

Precision engine design

Yamaha 4-stroke ATV engines are designed to provide high levels of torque at low rpm. The result is increased traction - on all kinds of terrain. To ensure maximum power and economy, the Electronic Fuel Injection system in the YFM700R uses an electronic controller to deliver a precisely metered mix of fuel and air into the combustion chamber.
